Economic and inclusive development of municipalities in Benin

The National Coordinator of the Technical Support Unit for the Authorizing Officer of the European Development Fund (UT-FED), Septime AZONNOUDO, the Prefect of Zou, Firmin KOUTON and the Mayor of Bohicon, Rufino D’ALMEIDA launched of the Services Revitalization Project for the inclusive economic development of Bohicon. Funded from the 11th EDF through the Territorial Development Support Program (PADT), the project was launched on Tuesday August 18, 2020 at the Nifur hotel in the crossroads city.

The Bohicon Inclusive Economic Development Services Revitalization Project (PDSCDEI-Bohicon) has an overall cost of one hundred and twenty one million four hundred and thirty three thousand one hundred and seventy five (121,433,175) CFA francs including a direct subsidy from the European Union through the PADT of one hundred and fifteen million three hundred sixty-one thousand five hundred and eighteen (115,361,518) CFA francs, i.e. 95% of the total amount. Lasting 27 months from November 2019 to February 2022, the project aims to strengthen the capacities of the municipal administration of Bohicon for the effective implementation of its autonomy in the service of local development, through support in equipment and building the capacity of municipal agents to improve the quality of services to the population, including the mobilization of resources.
